On the Swedish Natonal day June,6 Sweden faced Finland in the 2026 edition of the  Nordic Matchplay.  This year we played at The National, a fantastic golfresort with a fabulous and challenging golf course.

At the first tee, 7 players each from Sweden and Finland were ready to play a classic Match Play with a small twitch:  the winner of each 9 holes takes 1 point and overall match winner 1 point  (0,5 points for half).  3 points up for grab in each match, and in total for the country match 21 points to play for.

In contrast to last years match, which was extremely even and where Sweden took the victory in a play-off,  Finland dominated totally this time. 17-4 was the end result, no discussion as the finnish players mastered the course better than the swedes.

Congratulations Finland , but we will be back and aim for revenge in 2027!!
