Kick off 2026

Golf de Pierpont – 7/3 2026

We have now officially kicked off the season!
15 brave golfers—and our always smiling starter Bo—showed up dressed for warm, sunny spring golf… only to be greeted by the legendary Charleroi freezer-fog.
Starter Bo, always well prepared!
Gudrun and Agneta – where did the ball go?

But like true optimists (or real golfers), we pushed on—and before long the sun broke through, giving us a fantastic day on the course. The good weather brought good golf, and even better laughs!
The main stableford competition delivered some excellent scores:
5th –  Patrik Lindgren (16p)
4th –  Johan Ström (17p)
3rd – Alexander Mastrovito (17p) Featuring some very impressive drives!
2nd – Claus Bergman (18p) Solid, steady, reliable—classic Claus.
1st – Kenneth Thomas (21p) A fantastic round and a well deserved victory.
Well done Kenneth – 1st place!
Patrik (5th place) alongside Claus who came in 2nd
Alexander on 3rd place

Closest to the Pin – Hole 9
For our first challenge, we picked what I thought was the “easy” par 3, hole 9:
• 180m for the men
• slightly friendlier for the ladies
Only one person actually managed to hit the green… which tells you everything about how “easy” it was.
Congratulations to Kenneth, the lone green-hitter and winner of three shiny new golf balls!
10m Putt Challenge
Our final contest of the day was the 10m putting challenge—perfectly timed, of course, to start exactly when the food arrived…
The very first attempt came from Patrik, who calmly rolled it to 6cm from the hole.
15 players tried to beat him. 15 players failed. Winner: Patrik!
After all competitions were settled, we enjoyed a well earned lunch in the sun, full of stories, laughs, and a great start to the season.
Thanks to everyone for joining, playing, and making it such a memorable day.
